I just love the Audible app though. Ugh, now my Scribd app hasn't been working AT ALL for days. I hear podcasts are really great- I’ve been meaning to add some to the mix. With the new change to the audiobook service, I am not sure that the monthly subscription is worth keeping any longer. The biggest issues right now are: Books marked as "offline" either streaming or becoming unsaved on iOS, Issues with chapter transitions - chapters not transitioning as expected. The people in the audiobook community who have tried Scribd audiobooks since we launched them a couple of months ago have been awesome - sending us great feedback and being really patient as we iron out the kinks in a new product. It makes much more sense to use the library or Audible going forward. Sigh. The books seemed to work well enough but because I can't use the app on my e-reader it's not of much use to me. Seriously considering cancelling my subscription. I would have prefered to have options like; a $20unlimited subscription or levels of membership. On the Home screen in the Scribd app, choosing the 'Audiobooks' tab across the top will show you audiobooks you have saved recently, and you can scroll through a variety of audiobooks selected for you depending on your interests, recently read, and trends in bestsellers. Scribd does state that there “will be a a rotating catalog of thousands of audiobooks for unlimited listening.” So you could use your $8.99 credit for one paid audiobook and then keep listening to the free titles in the catalog. I don't download, just stream, but if I do anything but listen to a book strait through it hangs up and won't play for a very long time. I heard about the romance purge earlier, as well. This is so sad… Like you said, too good to be true… I too am curious to see what the unlimited choices are but something in my gut tells me that they will only circulate really, really old audiobooks, might probably even be classics . (Please note: in our Android app, playback speed changes are only supported if your device is running Android 6.0 or newer.). It’s likely I’ll cancel my subscription before Sept. 20 rolls around. No problem. For me I don’t listen to a ton of audiobooks so the library is the most sensible choice for me and the selection is usually pretty good. During the next billing cycle the books are refreshed again.
