You are strongest when your systems are fully powered as stated above; don't fall to tunnel vision and chase a target into the entire enemy team with your systems at minimum power. I find going for the power system is not worth it in PUGs; it's possible that if a real competitive scene develops that good teams will find that the exposed weakpoints from the power system are worthwhile. If you do it too fast or too slow then the missile will not be stopped.
Buckle up and feel the adrenaline of first-person multiplayer space dogfights alongside your squadron. Flying solo into the entire enemy squadron is a great way to get killed, no matter how much of a hotshot you think you are.
