I hear the written exam are 3 essay questions, its not a multiply choice exam. Some people get into law enforcement and call it quits very quickly because they did not know what they were getting into. I failed my first oral board too.

I'm a hard worker, I always strive for more, and I don't give up if something gets hard or doesn't go my way. Get it on another subject you enjoy, or another major you can fall back on in case you are fired/disabled from the job. Get CPR/First Aid certified; your job suggests you already are. Look for some local volunteer opportunities in your community.
I have a few of those things going for me, the second language, First aid, and I should be getting certified in CPR in the next few months. It'll let the officers know that you are busting your ass and are dedicated.

Get a foundation. If they offer a citizens police academy, like you said, I would for sure try to do that. I pass I go to the next test the following day, I fail, its the end for me. You will have the affordable opportunity to enhance your test result. Unfortunately I didn't make the cut, I do feel my answers were not as great as they could have been.
