When the original PST scope series was introduced, it was just known as the PST series, but when Vortex introduced the upgraded PST Gen II series in 2017, customers and scope vendors started referring to the first generation models of the PST as “Vortex Viper PST Gen 1” models to differentiate them from the Gen II models. Viper PST Gen II 1-6×24 VMR-2 MOA Reticle Reticles for the PST II 1-6×24 are taken directly from the Razor HD II version, which is a good thing.

Only downside with Burris is you may need to purchase new rings as the Burris has a 34mm main tube vs the 30mm tube on the PST. For my application I wish I would have bought both as FFP. My research seems to indicate that the Razor HD Gen 2 E 1-6x24 may not offer twice the optic for over twice the cost.
