I would say about 20% of the keys have this issue on mine. Chips took ~6 months to show up.
Some are brighter than others in certain areas. You can find the lowest price here. Nothing catches anywhere. May need to purchase my own USB cord.
While most RGB keyboards adopt the “floating key” style that exposes the switch housings, Ducky has instead opted for a heavy and heavy duty zinc plate. While I understand where being able to set specific timing for each key could be beneficial, having that as the default setting with no way to turn on a system wide default timing mode (same speed as you type is the default) seems strange to me.

The black keys are backlit while the purples are not. While most gaming keyboards feel thin and have this lightweight chintzy typing sound, the Ducky Shine 7 is solid as a rock with a deeper, more satisfying clack when bottoming out. Here, the mix of heavy metal top plate and thick keycaps make for a great typing experience. Received the keyboard before the ETA which was nice! Cherry is well-known for producing some of the most consistent switches around, though, so if you’ve used one of these colors on another keyboard, you’ll likely find a similar experience here. It turned out very well, I'm a master. I'm not a gamer, but I spend a lot of time on a keyboard and I have very large hands and I tend to be hard on them. Sadly there is no way for me to recover the 1.0 version it shipped with. My only gripe would be the keycaps.

Other than that, there isn't much keycap wobble, and the Cherry Browns feel great. I have no doubt this keyboard will last a very long time and I am going to order another for my other computer setup. Held it side by side with another one I had and could notice the difference in quality- especially in the keys. I wouldn't put this board anything over 50 bucks just based on that alone. I like that it is RGB, but does not require software installed on your computer. I do not recommend this product if you would care about such specifics. They included with it the spare key caps as well as the aesthetically pleasing space bar that just adds a lot more flair to it whenever I take a look at it. Recieved my Shine 7 Blackout on time. I haven't encountered any paint chipping so far so keeping my fingers cross it doesn't affect me.

Addressing the issue I saw someone else have, the light shines through the keys perfectly fine, except a very slight portion of the e in the Pause button, but it's not hardly noticeable and I wouldn't have even noticed it without reading that review. This was my first ducky keyboard and to have this happen after paying the high price for quality it is a little disappointing. The different lighting modes are awesome and the RGB software is easy to use and user friendly, but I would not recommend updating the firmware the "wave" mode sort of got a downgrade (doesn't look as good as before, speed feels off) and it appears that the LEDs are possibly slightly less bright after installing the latest firmware.
