I live in Brooklyn, NY, and returned home from vacation to find all my impatiens, not just the two small beds I'd watched slowly disappear, devoured. Many of my neighbours must have thought I was crazy, I mean, what animal would want to eat impatiens only? Ooooh well, you and I can be thankful for them as they will keep our lawns free from those nasty ticks. Others, though, feast on the impatiens, sucking down plant matter from puncture wounds the thrips inflict.

One of the problems with repellents is that their quality is not always consistent. I’ve not SEEN oppossums – but suspect they are around. So… perhaps I should update the title on my post .
