Use the momentum to get to the HP north-west of it. Dive down with the griffon along the waterfall, fly through the ravine and turn east (left) at the end.
Return to the Joko's Domain waypoint and get the last HP in his bone palace. Wolves can be problematic in town due to the short sight lines caused by the many buildings. It is the first region to feature Timberwolves in Survival mode.
This region is merely a transition zone between Mystery Lake and Pleasant Valley, but there are enough resources to stay there for a few nights.

Fly south-west to the HP (don't speed boost, just use regular dive). Kill the wolf and it’s not a bad place to camp for the night if you’re dressed appropriately. If you live, you’ll be one of the best out there, assuming you aren’t playing on Pilgrim or Voyageur. It’s a necessary stop on the way to Hushed River Valley, perhaps the most punishing zone in The Long Dark. Use the raptor and then the skimmer through the tunnel along the western edge of the map.
This guide is a collection of region maps and transition zones to help you find your way in the quiet apocalypse. It's not quite enough to make it to the HP in one go, just head next to it and use the bunny. By far the coolest transition zone in The Long Dark, Ravine is about as safe as you can be while you’re outdoors. Exploring the zone only takes a few days at most, and it won’t be long before you miss the fishing in Costal Highway.

There are a few decent places to sleep, so long as you can always build a fire. If you want to truly test yourself, walk in and refuse to walk back out for 30 days.
Exit the donut, turn around and jump on top of it (again).
Mountain Town (Milton in story mode) features many houses, meaning it can be a great place to find clothing items.
Forlorn Muskeg is another region that doesn’t feature any indoor locations.
It is narrow and usually features at least one wolf that will be hard to bypass, and often difficult to spot.
You can forge tools if you’d like, but once you’re done doing what you need to in Desolation Point, it’s probably time to move on. Imagine the lights go out, never to return. I have 42 of the poi's for this map, and yes, I have the little bells and whistles turned on to show them, have gone to every shaded area in case I missed a bit of the map and no luck. Take the jackal sand portals up to the jackal ranch. If you are fully geared and a skilled survivor, try living at the Mountaineer’s Hut at the base of the mountain by the lake. There can be quite a few wolves, but shelters are nicely spaced out.
Mountain Town is a pretty cool place to visit, but not somewhere many players would want to live.
A team is only as good as their goalie. You can survive there if you’re a veteran player with good gear and an understanding of the area.
Climb the southern pyramid and fly to the southern HP.

In case you weren’t aware, there are no indoor locations besides a single cave. Get the north-eastern HP first. Some will be more detailed than others, but all should be useful enough to help players avoid getting stuck out in the cold.
It’s not all bad, though.
It does feature one of the in-game forges, so it’s a region most players will visit eventually.
